Brazil have announced a 25-man squad for the three matches of the World Cup qualifiers. Experienced defender Dani Alves has got a place there.
There are three new faces in the squad announced by Brazil coach Tito on Friday. They are Benfica defender Lucas Verisimo, Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder Claudinho and Leeds United forward Rafinha.
Alves missed the last Copa America at home due to injury. However, the star who played for the local club Sao Paulo saw the success of the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics once again. Under his leadership, Selesaora won the gold medal by defeating Spain in the final.
Brazil tops the points table in the South American World Cup qualifiers with a full 17 points from six matches. They are set to take to the field next month for the first time since becoming runners-up in the Copa America after losing to Argentina last July.
