Kane Will Stay At Tottenham,Coach

Rumors of Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane leaving the club have been circulating for months. At times, he even hinted at taking on new challenges. However, the club’s new coach Nuno Santo is desperate to retain the England captain.

The Portuguese coach hopes he will include Kane in his plans to take Tottenham forward.

Kane, who came from Tottenham’s youth team, has been playing for the club for almost seven years since his debut for the club. But still could not win any trophy.

The club last won the title in 2006, the League Cup. Kane was on the youth team then. His most notable achievement for Tottenham came in the 2018-19 Champions League final. They lost that match against Liverpool. Towards the end of last season, Kane had the frustration of not being able to win the title as a team. And in May, several media outlets reported that he had informed Tottenham authorities of his decision to leave the club.

Tottenham had a great start to the 2020-21 season in the Premier League. They rose to the top of the league table last December. Later the rhythm is lost. Jose Mourinho then lost his job in April and eventually finished the league at number seven.

Nuno Santo, a very successful coach for Wolverhampton Wanderers, took charge of Tottenham last June. At the first press conference on Friday in his new role, Santo expressed optimism about retaining star striker Kane.

“Harry (Kane) is our player, (that’s) the last word. There is no need to talk about anything else. ”

“For Harry (after the European Championships) now is the time to come back refreshed and refreshed. I will talk to him as soon as he returns, he has to be ready for the challenge ahead. ”

Kane led England to the final with four goals in the European Championship, which ended last Sunday. This time Santo’s eyes are on Tottenham’s improvement with him. He wants to work together for the same goal.

“I have no doubt (about being in Kane’s club) …we are very ambitious, we are ambitious people and we want to do well, and I have no doubt that Harry thinks that way.”

Kane has scored 221 goals in 338 appearances for Tottenham. The 26-year-old won the Golden Boot last season with 23 goals in 35 Premier League matches.
